Into the Green South East

During this full day at tropical permaculture-farm La Meule, you will be surrounded by a beautiful nature environment, get to know the plants that grow there, and meet a modern bio-farmer who is eager to lead the way out of monoculture and back into biodiversity. The visit of beautiful Bambous Valley which was once a sugar cane plantation and is now on the way back to being a sanctuary for native fauna and flora is quite an adventure. Bird watching, an introduction into local tisanes and other home-made products as well as a vegetarian lunch and a dip in the Bambous River form a part of this authentic island adventure.
The Green Side is for visitors who want to experience Mauritius far beyond the beaten track. By stepping out of your tropical holiday and into the nature environment of the hinterland, you will experience a new dimension of holiday making. We take you to see, feel, smell and enjoy the real Mauritius Nature Paradise; the one you always knew existed but did not know how to reach.
